The Conrad Algarve Challenge
Jardim Vista landscape integrates luxury development into a rich natural landscape Jardim Vista implemented the gardens of the newly inaugurated most prestigious projects currently being undertaken in the Algarve, the Conrad Algarve, in Quinta do Lago. Jardim Vista enhanced the project by integrating the built areas into the natural surroundings as harmoniously as possible. The concept proposed by Jardim Vista has a sub-tropical flavor, and involves rich green areas between the buildings, lush gardens and informal organic green spaces sculpted by lakes and springs. Many of the species Jardim Vista is using for new planting are native to the region or have been traditionally used there for centuries, and are thus well-adapted to the location’s natural conditions. Among these are rosemary, lavender, roses, olive trees, pine trees and orange trees. A ceremonial path from the main entrance at the southern point is edged by two large reflecting pools. The pools define the entire spatial organization, providing not only grandeur upon arrival, but also dividing the development’s built areas; a hotel and two sets of townhouses. The path is bordered by Washingtonia palm trees set in beds of lavender. Beyond are expanses of lawn that lead up to the townhouses. On the eastern and western sides are the townhouses’ swimming pools, surrounded by subtropical vegetation adapted to the area’s climate conditions. Maintaining its position as leader in the landscaping field for over 20 years in Portugal, and with a company ethos of combining design excellence and customer service, Jardim Vista continues to lead the way.
